A Failed Empire: The Soviet Union in the Cold War from Stalin to Gorbachev
So far this book has been a great introduction to the URSS development after WWII. Stalin is a fascinating figure, regardless of his role (some say he was a madman, some claim that he's a hero) and I can't wait to finish it and learn more about the Soviet Union.
